Ag5400
The Ag5400 is now the Highest Efficiency IEEE 802.3AT Module in the world.
The Ag5400 series Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) modules are designed to extract power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable, conforming to the IEEE802.3 PoE standard, with full backwards compatibility with the IEEE802.3bt, IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3af amendments.
The Ag5400 is pre-configured as a Type 2 Class 4 device, allowing the module to draw up to 30W of power from the PSE.
The high efficiency DC/DC converter can achieve in excess of 93% efficiency and operates over a wide input voltage range with a low ripple and low noise output. The DC/DC converter also has built-in output overload, output short-circuit and overtemperature protection and provides a 1500Vdc (input to output) isolation barrier.

Evaluation Boards
EvalAgSil Evaluation Boards
EvalAgSIL is designed for testing and evaluation of the Ag5400 range of PoE PD modules. It provides a regulated DC output with voltage dependent on which version of Ag5400 is fitted. The evaluation board will work with Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) that supplies power over the spare pair or data pairs. it can also be used in conjunction with Ag6120, Ag6100 or Ag6400 as compatible PSEs. NOTE : when ordering this evaluation board online from the links bellow the module is not included please ensure a separate module is also ordered. From Silvertel and over distribution partners evaluation Boards are supplied pre-loaded with a sample module. Please ensure that you specify which variant you wish populated into the Eval board on request or ideally on your PO.
