Ag53000
The Ag53000 series Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) Powered Device (PD) modules are designed to extract power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable, conforming to the IEEE802.3 PoE standard, with full compatibility with the IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3af amendments.
The Ag53000 is pre-configured as a Type 2 Class 4 PD device, requesting 30W of power from the PSE, with nominal output voltages of 12V or 24V.
The high efficiency DC/DC converter can achieve greater than 90% efficiency and operates over a wide input voltage range with a low ripple and low noise output. The DC/DC converter also has built-in output overload, output short-circuit and overtemperature protection and provides a 1500Vdc (input to output) isolation barrier.
The Ag53000 product series are pin for pin compatible with the popular Ag5300 and Ag5400 series – are lower cost – and are 100% Designed and Manufactured in the UK.

Evaluation Boards
EvalAgSil Evaluation Boards
EvalAgSIL is designed for testing and evaluation of the Ag53000 range of PoE PD modules. It provides a regulated DC output with voltage dependent on which version of Ag53000 is fitted. The evaluation board will work with Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) that supplies power over the spare pair or data pairs. It can also be used in conjunction with Silvertel’s Ag6130, Ag6120 or Ag6810 PSE modules as compatible PSEs. Please use the links provided to order boards or download the user manual.
NOTE : When ordering this evaluation board online using the Ecommerce distributor links found below please be aware that the module is not included so please ensure a separate module is also ordered. When ordering directly from Silvertel or other distribution partners evaluation Boards are supplied pre-loaded with a sample module.
