200W Power over Ethernet (PoE) Modules for the Powered Device (PD) and Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE)
Silvertel has announced the launch of the Ag5700 and Ag6700. PoE modules providing output power from 60W up to 200W.
Realising the full power capability of standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables, Silvertel has scored another world first with the launch of the Ag5700 PD module and the Ag6700 PSE module.
Aimed at developers of Ethernet equipment requiring up to 200W of power, such as digital displays, Ethernet enabled televisions, touch screen computers, professional AV equipment, point of sale terminals and set top boxes, Ag5700 and Ag6700 provide a low cost drop-in solution.
These 200W modules have been developed to take advantage of the increasing penetration of Ethernet connected devices in the workplace, in industry and at home.
Key features include multiple safety measures, to ensure the safe transmission of power, such as smart signature transmission, cable impedance balance monitoring, over temperature and over current shutdown.
The Ag5700 PD device has been optimised to fit inside the latest computer terminals and televisions, and so measures just 8mm thick and is 90% efficient.
While the Ag6700 PSE module can output up to 230W of power at safe voltage levels, and requires no external components. It also provides over 98% efficiency at full power output.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, these devices supplement Silvertel's extensive range of Power over Ethernet products for both the Powered Device (PD) and Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE).
